CHARIOT (Jim Neal) Sangiovese 2004
designation: Chariot
vineyard: N/A
region: California - Central Coast
review date:
2007-08-20

The 2004 Chariot Sangiovese from Jim Neal is a California Sangiovese that will rock your world, in a soft gentle, polished and delicious manner. I really love this wine; stelvin enclosure, big octane, small investment, polished aromas and flavors - Jim Neal is taking no prisoners with this one. A smooth berry and spice flavor permeates this wine somewhere between strawberry and cherry–cola. Deep complex spice cascades across the palate with the finish being lush, not tannic. The medium body and smooth flavors and finish make this a good sipping by itself wine and versatile in culinary pairings (MDME).
