WIND RIVER CELLARS Other Reds 2005
designation: N/A
vineyard: Celilo Vineyard
region: Washington
review date:
2007-11-10

Wind River Cellars Wind River makes a varietal called "Lemberger" which is also known as Blaufränkisch in Germany. This varietal produces dry, red wines which are typically rich in tannins and exhibits spicy, masculine characters. The Wind Rivers 2005 vintage is a great example of what Lemberger should be - it’s a very peppery, intense wine which is well-balanced with big tannins, yet well proportioned to the fruit, with an attractive and spicy masculine finish (PH).
