Rosenblum

This wine will wow all who have realized the potential in red wine and its ability to surprise all. This wine delivers in a potent blend that you might have not respected in the past vintages offered up, but is now delivering a great product that makes every one sit up and take notice (one might even bark and roll over!).

This Rhone brings it and delivers in a way that most Rhone wannabes fail. As convoluted as this statement seems these guys have achieved that and more. This wine was huge in flavor and balanced to a fault; considering the four varietals that make up this configuration of 70% Syrah, 12% Zinfandel, 10% Mourvedre, and 8% Carignane.

Forward ripe dark fruit aromas assault the nose with a complimentary spectrum of caramelized fresh fennel harmonizing with the flavors of herbs and dried cherries, tobacco box and a hint of vanilla bean pulp that was just heated in a saucepan right before you scald hot heavy cream to make creme anglaise.

I really enjoyed this wine - it was a giver, generous, freely offering all its soul, and the structure made you feel privileged to be drinking this wonderful wine. The culinary applications are very broad because this wine is very adept at being an every day table wine if your budget permits or a fine celebration wine for those who appreciate a huge Rhone style red wine. Enjoy this one often and always remember this label as a great gift wine especially for those who have a fondness for the canine species. ~Marc Hinton
