Quivira Zinfandel

Opening aromas are exactly what you would want in a Dry Creek Zinfandel - well almost! This is a sophisticated Zinfandel and it’s fine quality distracts from the character that zinfandel used to stand for - not to say that is a bad thing it just makes it difficult to pair culinary applications for specific results.

After tasting the wine you can be comfortable with your choices taking it into the realm of sophisticated tightly driven flavors where in the past so many zinfandels were matched for highly spiced cuisine most folks thought only a beer might do. The current style of polished Zinfandel's have brought this varietals' reputation up a notch or two but has also excluded it as a varietal with consistent culinary pairings. The depth of flavor impresses and the smoothness on the palate will appeal to anyone that appreciates a well-made sophisticated red wine. ~Marc Hinton
