Delas Frères

A solid effort that will be welcome at any table that requires a well made balanced red wine. I am lucky enough to live walking distance to the Orenco New Seasons Market. A majority of the wines we review here

at Enobytes are purchased at this store. They have two wine clerks Greg and Matt: Matt recently recommended the Delas Cotes du Ventoux and he was spot on. This surprised me because although Matt is not new to wine he may be one of the fastest learners I’ve seen in a while. Remarkably he has great instincts on wine; his beer knowledge is his strength but that has been balancing out in the couple of years I have known him. The Delas was a solid built Cote du Ventoux bringing on a broad flavor spectrum wine that delivered everywhere it was supposed to. It rocked it from start to finish; soft plush red fruit juxtaposed to a strong tobacco licorice core. Big smooth wine that commands its moment - don’t wait too late, buy this one now. ~Marc Hinton
