Ridge Zinfandel Caboose

Extremely brambly, ripe and jammy, this wine will knock your socks off from the get go. Give it a little breathing time and it will reward you for your patience.

Upon opening, it has an immense blackberry color with flavors to match. Boysenberry, licorice, and cigar box hit the olfactory senses hard leading to a tannic, medium long finish.

This isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if you enjoy a good blast of massive zinfandel, this is your juice.

I recommend decanting this wine for at least an hour before consuming. It's drinkable shortly after opening, but the flavors really open up after a significant amount of breathing time. Drink now or hold through 2011. 1,225 case production ~Pamela Heiligenthal
