Sausal Old Vine Zinfandel

Still tightly wound this wine was hesitant to bear even a glimmer of fruit on the nose in the beginning; finally a little window of aromas presented themselves - restrained but a glimmer of boysenberry and spice squeaked it’s way through the heat of the 14.7% octane.

Flavors represented the same profile solidifying the opinion
this one is basic and not as complex as other vintages. If you need a fire hose to cleanse your palate this is the wine for you. Recommended pairings include dry rubbed ribs, buffalo wings (up to atomic level) and any other tail gate food. Did someone say SUPER BOWL! ~Marc Hinton
