Ca' Del Sarto Barbera

Here is a great example of how fast time flies and how easy it is to let an important review slip through the cracks. I was looking at this wine on my retailer’s shelf thinking I have had the wine but I do not remember writing a review about it. Funny thing is I do not remember putting it in my case but I get home and

I’m looking at reviews I did not complete and there was the Ca’ del Sarto waiting to be finished. Now it has moved up a year in vintage ('07 versus the '06).

The 2007 is a wonderful wine with full flavors and generous fruit. Cherry infused with minerality on the nose, the palate offers cherry and cranberry fruits with lively acidity, and light tannins. This quite possibly may become my go to red for everyday drinking. Enough said! ~Marc Hinton
